What We DO

NACRO delivers impactful and sustainable development interventions in its three key sectors of operation as well as within the two crosscutting themes of focus , thus:

  • Education―Supporting equitable access to quality education for all children.
  • Health ―Collaborating with health authorities for community-based primary health care and epidemic control (e.g., TB, Malaria, HIV, etc.).
  • Livelihood―Promoting sustainable regenerative agriculture and enabling food security, nutrition, and household income.
  • Climate adaptation and resilience ―Supporting communities to (i) develop capacity to adjust to or minimize harm from the current or expected effects of climate change, and (ii) to prepare for, respond to, and recover from the effects of climate shocks.
  • Gender equality and social inclusion―Promoting (i) processes for ensuring equal rights and opportunities for individuals regardless of gender or other social identities, (ii) inclusive access to services and facilities (including physical and social barriers for people with disabilities), and (iii) empowerment and voice for vulnerable people.

NACRO also provides humanitarian assistance to needy communities and individuals.

Under humanitarian assistance, NACRO provides relief and humanitarian support, reaching people affected by natural disasters and other calamities with various interventions to improve their health status and their access to basic services.
